Bill Donovan's Leather Lotion - Moving Beyond Saddle Soap
Growing up on a rural farm in Virginia, multiple award winning racehorse trainer Bill Donovan was raised with horses from before he could walk. One of the many important lessons he was to learn at his Grandfather knee, was the use of a mixture of glycerine and lanoline to clean leather. As years went on and life led Bill to the racetracks, he witnessed first hand that the saddle soap they were using was in fact harming the leather, causing it to crack and deteriorate!
Fate would bring together Bill Donovan and Bruce Sipes, who would reintroduce the concept of using glycerine and lanoline in a leather cleaner that he sold to Bill. In later years when Bills health was failing, Bruce would aid him in promoting and selling this fine product under his own name.Eventually a partnership was formed between two dear friends Bill Donovan and Bill Wolkey, resulting in the introduction of Bill Donvan’s Leather lotion to the horse industry.
Leather Lotion works by removing the element of water from the cleaning process, eliminating the problems of drying and cracking and leaving leather soft and clean with no residue to rub off on clothes. Simply spray onto any leather product and wipe off, no muss, no muss, no mess! Leather Lotion works great on virtually any leather products, from leather furniture and trotters harness, to biker gear, and even mildewed lawn and boat cushions can be cleaned and restored by this great product.
