Seeing a need in New England for riders to have access to a large selection of quality horse supplies in one place, Dover saddlery was born. Founded by former USET team members Jim and David Powers in 1975, Dover saddles found a niche in the New England horse industry, supplying top of the line horse supplies to riders.

With the experience and knowledge the brothers had gained competing against some of the best horses and riders in the world, Jim and David were soon taking on some of the top tack shops in the industry. Dover saddlery has become a true leader in the horse world, with the introduction of a complete catalogue early on that allowed access to riders all over North America, and with the advent of the Internet, eventually the world.

Dover Saddlery incorporates centuries of craftsmanship, the latest in equine technology, and the ability to outfit both the horse and rider. Having developed a crack team of equestrians, these craftsmen rise to the challenge, even developing products when the need arises. For almost 30 years, Dover Saddlery has excelled in the industry, and become a benchmark against which, others are measured.
