Wintec saddles: How to fit a wintec saddle

Because of the soft materials used in building a Wintec saddle, the breaking in period is virtually eliminated. These soft materials and wool flock enable the Wintec saddle to shape to your horse in a very short time. It is recommended to use your new saddle for 4-6 weeks and then have it rechecked for fit.

After 3 months of riding, have your Wintec saddle checked again to ensure that the fit is still good, with lots of clearance over the withers. Following the 3 month check, have it checked every 6 months for the duration of the saddle's life. As a horse’s physical condition changes, so can the fit of your saddle.

Because of the revolutionary design of the Wintec saddle, if you find that there is not enough clearance over the withers, it is an easy task to adjust the saddle back to a proper fit. To modify the fit of a Wintec saddle, simply change to a narrower gullet or add more wool flocking to the front of the saddle. It is always recommended to have an expert check the fit of your saddle.
