Used saddles for sale!

When your search begins for used saddles, you have a lot of decisions to make. Finding the saddles for sale is only the beginning. The first thing you must decide is which style of used saddle you need, and what you expect of it.

Narrowing your search starts with choosing the style of saddle. Do you need a dressage or jump saddle, or will a good all purpose saddle fit the bill? There are so many different used saddles for sale, you should be able to find a great saddle at a reasonable price, just don’t forget to shop around, checking not only your local tack shops, but the Internet as well.

When you have found the right saddle for you, make sure it is checked completely for soundness. Used saddles for sale are often in really good shape, but not always. Watch the saddles for dryness and breakage, especially around the billets. The girth or cinch areas must be watched for stretching of the billet holes and the tree must be examined carefully! Remember the old saying, “no foot, no horse”? it’s true in this case as well “no tree, no saddle”.
