Saddle shop - Everything you want in a horse store

The term “saddle shop” is a very generic one, what these stores offer can vary, but by definition, a saddle shop is a retail store that caters to the horse industry.

A saddle shop can be very specialized, dealing with mainly one discipline like racing or hunter/jumper, while others may only deal with saddles from one specific saddle maker. For the most part a saddle shop offers a variety of saddles from a large number of manufacturers. Along with the obvious, a saddle shop usually carries all kinds of horse supplies and tack for all disciplines, as well as items from horse feed to leg wraps, and shampoo to blankets.

For the first time owner, the local saddle shop is an ideal place to learn about horses. The people who work in saddle shops are great sources of information and usually more than happy to share their knowledge with a beginner.Any questions you many have about the care and feeding of your horse can be answered either by the staff at the saddle shop, or by the books they usually offer for sale.
